Carl Perkins ~ “Blue Suede Shoes” (1955)

I have to say that I honestly don’t know why this old record is so good. I honestly don’t know why this song, the way it appears here, makes me feel the way it does. I’ve heard the song so many times, and through the years you feel like you’ve heard the song way too many times done the same way, but I guess the reason I like it (and get choked up by it) is because of its historical value. It really is like Rock music coming to life, as if there is something poignant about an early Rock recording from a simpler, more innocent time.
I don’t normally post short songs on here as stand-alones, but this is something that I find exceptional.
